Turn Back Time – The High Street
is a reality documentary BBC 1 TV series airing in 2010. We took over the main square of market town Shepton Mallet in Sommerset by using 4 empty shops and turning them into a Butcher, Grocer, Baker and Ironmonger. We also build a forge, a candlemaking wheel, a wood fired bakers oven, a victorian butchers fridge, a square water pump, etc. Not only that, we also then took these shops through 5-6 different periods, going from victorians all the way to 1960’s. The facades, interiors and even their living quarters had to be changed on a weekly basis; a huge undertaking!
